As part of our Bronze Age learning, we have been exploring The Beaker People and how they designed Beaker pots during the Bronze Age. We had a go at designing our own Beaker Pots. Take a look! We can’t wait to make clay pots at Murton Park.

As part of Anti-Bullying week, we have learnt a rap called Stop which is all about stopping bullying. We performed our rap today to Miss Peartree who is judging all the LKS2 classes. We can’t wait to find out who won!
Here we are looking cool for our rap.
Still looking cool as continue with our learning.
This week in our RE learning we have been exploring the story of Noah’s Ark. We acted the parts of the story out put ourselves in Noah’s shoes to ask questions to imagine what he may be thinking.
Noah building the ark
“I wonder how all the animals will fit in here…”
Noah welcoming the animals into the ark
“How will we survive on the ark?”
Noah and his family celebrating God’s promise
“I’m so glad I trusted God and his promise!”
3H have had a brilliant time swimming this week. What a lovely way to end the half term. They have persevered, challenged themselves and learnt new skills. Well done 3H!
Thank you so much to all the adults who made it to the Stone Age Workshop. It was lovely to see so many faces enjoying cave paintings, tool makings, beads and Stonehenge.
This afternoon, 3H persevered through the mist and the rain to make our way to the library.
We listened to the librarian discuss how taking books out and return them.
We had such fun learning about how the library works and getting to spend time reading books ourselves.
Well done to Erica and Andre! They have lead our collective worship over the past few weeks. There have been some fantastic discussions within the class and moments of reflection as a result. We shared places that they felt that they belonged including various clubs outside and inside of school. We discussed it can feel to belong and that it is like feeling like you can be yourself.
We started by collaborating to sketch out the design of our cave painting.
Then we got to work creating our design using chalk, charcoal and cardboard.
Works in progress
We look forward to you seeing our cave paintings at the parent consultations as well as at the Stone Age Workshop where you’ll get to make designs together!
For National Poetry Day, we explored this poem ‘Your Voice Counts‘
We discussed why our voices were important, how we could use them and what for. We then enjoyed joining a Zoom poetry lesson where we created a poem along with many other schools across the country and world. Here we are joining in with the zoom!
