Yesterday 3H had a brilliant time at Murton Park for an immersive Stone Age day! Once we had arrived we made sure to stay wrapped up warm but dress like Stone Age people so we wore tunics. We gathered around the fire pit of our Stone Age village for a ‘Tribe’ meeting. After that, we set off in our groups or ‘Stone Age families’ to work through a series of activities together.

Weaving

Making Bell Beaker Pottery

Grinding wheat

Hunting

We ended the day sharing a story over a fire in a roundhouse. The trip was a lovely culmination to the Stone Age topic. The children really impressed the guide with how much they knew and they throughly enjoyed the day.
